After founding the company in 2006, things went smoothly until the recession in 2007. Nick shifted from new home building to remodeling. Blazek Construction focused on remodels for approximately 5 years as the economy rebounded. In 2012, a customer for whom Nick had done a remodel suggested that Nick build them a home. That was the first Blazek Construction custom home. Thanks to word of mouth and proven quality, the company has been able to grow into one of Chattanooga's premier custom home builders.
